Office & Restaurant Trends For 2018

Last week, we covered the home trends that are making their way into 2018. New trends don’t just apply to homes, but a new year calls for giving your office or your restaurant a new look, too. We have compiled a list of trends that are going to be all the rage in 2018.

Here is a list of office and restaurant trends for 2018:

Office Trends

  • “Greening The Office”
It has proven that being in nature has many beneficial levels for the staff such as feeling calm, creative, happier, and healthier. Companies are also looking beyond that and diving deeper into using renewable energy sources, grey water systems, and air purification.
  • Granite Countertops
These natural stone countertops bring sophistication to the room. Granite is durable and is not easily damaged which makes it a good desk material.  It is a longer lasting option than just your classic wood desk material.
  • New Year, New Colors
With the release of Pantone’s new trend palette for 2018, it looks like it has something for everyone. The different palettes include bold blues, neutral metallics, and warm hues to make the office more welcoming.
  • Natural Stone Flooring
While not ideal in every office setting, it does offer a luxurious look and adds and little something special to the office. A sealer can be added to the natural stone to prevent it from scratching or staining in high traffic areas.
  • Natural Stone Window Sills
Granite or Quartz window sills can add style to your window and compliment your entire office. It is recommended that you match your windows to your walls, which are typically neutral colors to prevent a drastic contrast.

Restaurant Trends

  • Travertine Flooring
Travertine flooring is great flooring for restaurants since it is low maintenance, inexpensive, environmentally-friendly and it is easy to clean, which is key for the restaurant business.
  • Mid-century Modern
Modern furniture, lighting, and color palettes have been all the rage for a few years, but designers are turning to wood paneling for 2018 because it carries a rustic industrial look.
